I bought a Safari Dicor 2.2 VTT EX in 2008, and we have clocked more than 205, 000 Kms in it since. It has given us a constant mileage (in any driving and road condition) of 15 kmpl and sometimes it has even given us 17kmpl.
We have not had any major repairs, no engine problems, no suspension issues etc. It is an amazing vehicle, and I have tried so many different vehicles to buy, but don’t feel like driving any other. This is the best. It is real value for money. The only issue is with the service, as I live in Mysore and there is only one service agent here.. URS Car and their service is the most pathetic. But, Tatas are known for their pathetic service. The Safari is one swell of a vehicle and it has the best drive/ride comfort, leg room, etc. Compared to any other vehicle, innova, scorpio (most unsafe vehicle), boleros, endeavours, etc.
I would recommend anyone looking at this segment, to go for a safari. We have had only one major breakdown, and that too due to some adulterated fuel, which cost us replacement of the fuel injection system, other than that our Safari has never given us any problems whatsoever.
