How Dish TV is cheating its customers with the India Cricket Pack (ICP) ...
When a customer takes the ICP, he is supposed to automatically get the channel where India’s matches are being telecast. I fell for this. I subscribed to the Super Gold pack which consists of the ICP. Now Champions Trophy is being telecast on Star Cricket, Star Sports and ESPN. But I am not getting any of these channels even though I have subscribed to the ICP.
I called up Dish TV, wrote to their Customer Care, wrote to their CEO (this is a feature in their website which is another sham). They said that since the match is coming on DD they wont give the channels in the ICP.
1) If I have to watch the match on DD, I can do it for free. Why should I waste Rs 280 per month to subscribe to your ICP pack.
2) The ICP does not contain the channel DoorDarshan. It contains the channels like Star Cricket, Star Sports, Neo Sports etc. Check the attached screenshot for the channels contained in the ICP. So when I have subscribed to the ICP, I should get the channel belonging to the pack.
3) Your terms and conditions say that "India Cricket pack automatically switches on the channel on which Indian Men’s Cricket Team’s match is tele casted". Well, DD is a free to air channel. You don’t have to switch to it. It is available all the time for free.
So advice to Dish TV - If your motto is to take money from the customer and then not to give him the corresponding service, your company won’t last for long. Take my word. People will switch to other service providers which are honest.
Advice to fellow customers - Stay away from Dish TV. They are bloody cheats.
