?I purchased Zest XMA from Concord motors, South-X, New Delhi(One of the WORST dealers in Delhi, by the way its company own showroom) on March 2016. Since then 9000km run with more than 20 complaints. Numerous visit to workshop and unlimited calls exchange till now. One of the Worst experience faced with TATA motors. Its quite frustrating to deal with officials sitting at tata motors. They are spending crores on advertising but NOT on consumer satisfaction.
Coming to Issues:
Air-conditioning:
A/C blower stopped working after 1 month and replaced.
A/C switches / HVAC system got replaced by workshop due to malfunction
If you switched off A/C button and start the vehicle after 8-9 hours parking - AC units got automatically switched ON(Yes its strange but you actually gets cool air). Not just AC switch orange light but also ac unit starts with engine even u switch-off the button before.
Blower noise when air flow mode is in-flow.
Transmission:
While running on short gears(1st or 2nd) transmission is very jerky. NOT SMOOTH AT ALL. Situations like traffic jams, speed suddenly goes up even you are applying brakes to stop the vehicle. Sometime you are in situation where car gets unstable and you need to apply very hard brakes leads to accidents.
Gear shifting between 1st & 2nd / 4th & 5th are very jerky. sometimes shifts at 3000 RPM(technically it shifts at 2000RPM)
Noise coming gear box / gear shift unit. seems like sparking / metal grinding.
Max speed achieved is 120km, post that car sounds like someone beating a horse to run(not using word donkey since it runs smooth at 90-100km)
Suspension:
Thud sound on even small path-holes
Not a smooth ride post 3000KM
Body noise is too much for a new car
Post Sales services:
Very pathetic
I have to write more 30 mails just to get the A/C havc switch board replaced
I have to file consumer court complaint to get the above mentioned complaints since Tata motors authorities(Including concord motors MD - Mr. B R Arora) are not listening to complaint neither they are in mood to rectify the same.
While letting concord motors officials that the consumer court legal notice reply is awaiting, I got the answer that we have dedicated lawyer he will reply to you soon. It shows that how concern are they for consumers.
Music system:
It hangs with out any specific reason and anytime. you need to switch off the engine, remove the key. Insert key again and it start working. VERY EMBARRASSING if someone is sitting along with you.
70% time you are not able to connect the calls. While contacting workshop you will get very stupid reply that might be your phone is not compatible(Mine is Samsung galaxy A7 - Android 6.01)
Final Words
Not a recommended vehicle to friends or family members. Lots of complaints which can be rectified if TATA motors start listening to consumer. But they are happy with 50, 000 units sold in 2 years whereas others sell these numbers in one month.
