The story starts with the busy streets of Mumbai, cars passing by and there we meet a taxi driver who looks like any other taxi driver but has a background that’s simply unthinkable! He has changed 23 jobs and still feels that life should go on in the bustling Mumbai!
John Abraham plays the role of Jay Mittal who is the son of a rich father. Money has got him power, girlfriend, but he didn’t expect of tragic moments that were about to catch up.
So life starts with Jay merrying with his girl ( sameera reddy) and jus being cool when his dad explains about his money matters! But tragedy beholds John when his Dad decides to give all his money to another person, whom he trusts. John grows very upset by this and one fine day he decides to go by taxi where he meets nana! It so happens that John gets irritated by Nana’s driving and requests him to go a bit faster by giving him some money. so there’s another tragedy where the taxi hits a car and nana is put to jail! John decided to flee from the scene but nana decides to take revenge! John now come out from jail decides to go to a bank where he needs the key to open the locker to get the will which he has to produce to the court. He comes to know of how he had to jerk from the seat during the accident that made his keys fall on the seat! So they eventually meet and John asks Nana to give him the key but Nana refuses. Now Nana has the keys and dreams of riches! So there starts the game and ends with both the guys learning from their mistakes. But there are lots of funny scenes where both have used their best acting skills. This is one film that has the best humor to be the best comedy film.
ABOUT THE CAST:
John’s character synchs well with the film and nana has got the perfect role. Sameera isn’t there in the scene much but plays the role with John well. Sonali Kulkarni, Nana’s wife also has a small role to do in the film.
John has done his comedy very well, not to forget his performance in Garam Masala. Nana Patekar has come a long way after acting in a small role in Darna Mana Hai, his role was humorous in some way though. Now in this film nana shows by his performance that he can act for any age and that he can lighten up the chemistry with any actor! He does his role with elan and makes sure that his role is as natural as possible, like with any films that he has done before!
All in all, TAXI NO. 9211 is a good comedy film that should be part of ur movie collection!
