I booked cab for three days in a raw(Monday to Wednesday) from J P Morgan Prestige Tech Park to Old Airport Road. Site had frequent 404 timeout issues but finally I was able to reserve cabs for all three days.
Monday - My pickup time was 5:30 pm. I did not receive drivers details till 5:20, so I called their customer care number. Could not get hold of anyone till 5:35. At 5:35, I got a message that due to unavailability of cabs they have cancelled my booking! They did not even care about calling me or arranging another cab.
Tuesday - I did not receive drivers details till 4:45. This time, I called them proactively to receive drivers number to make sure I get a cab today. Customer care person didnt care about actioning my request. He said as its not 5 pm yet, they cant assign driver. Upon my strong insistence they assigned a driver at 5:10. I did not get any call from driver till 5:30. When I call driver, he said he is not coming to pick me up as he got another passenger to drop at airport.
Wednesday - I was hoping that, these guys would learn something and make up for their mistakes but they repeated same thing. I called at sharp 5 and customer care person insisted that its one minute left in 5 and hence they cant assign driver yet. After strong arguments, they put me on hold for 10 minutes and finally said they dont have any available cabs and earliest cab they can send is after one hour at 6:30!
Taxi for sure is just an aggregator and is making false promises by confirming all booking requests and at the time of travel, you really have to be lucky to get a cab on time! I was quite happy that, these taxi companies were providing better services than auto but now it feels there is no difference between auto and taxi companies and at least taxi for sure doesnt know how to do business. I wouldnt surprise if they shut down in next year or so!
If you want to gift yourself than avoid taxi for sure at all cost - they are just not worth your time and energy!
