This Smartphone was launched last year September 2019. But I bought it recently in June 2020. You guys must be thinking why I bought a smartphone from last year it must be backdated. The main reason was storage and performance. It is the only smartphone to provide with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage which can be expanded through a dedicated SD card slot up to 256GB within 9490TK/119$. But it also has some bad sides. In this review, I will ring all the pros and cons of this device and my experience until now.
So first with the design. As the device is from 2019 their is nothing to complain about, but compared to 2020 it has a bigger chin and bezel. It is of plastic build but the glossy finish in the back with a blend of clour fells a little bit premium. It got a 6.1inch u notch HD+ 720p display. which is good in this budget.
Then comes the camera section. It got 13MP f1.8 main and a 2MP depth sensor. Which quite normal in this budget. In front there is 5MP f2.0, it would be better if they used an 8MP sensor. In the case of video, both front and rear camera can shoot 1080p @ 30fps
Now comes the exciting part, performance. Though in the case of processor its usual Helio A22 2.0GZ Quad-core processor. But it got 3GB of RAM with 32GB of storage. For which heavy game like PUBGmobile and CODM is playable with some frame drop(its rear, during my usage I hardly got any) at low graphics. Though medium game like a free fire is easily playable. Because of this 3GB RAM multitasking is easy. It can handle a 4-5 medium-size app easily.
It is powered with android pie 9.0 with hiOS 5.0.1(upgradable). hiOS is TECNOs personal os. It optimizes RAM quite well. Though it got some preinstalled app they can be uninstalled easily. It has got a dedicated GAME MODE and many more features.
After all, these pros now come to the cons. Despite having a 6.1-inch display it got a smaller battery of 3000mah. Which would give you 6.5-7.6 hours of screen on time depending on usage? In moderate use, you can hardly pass a day. In charging it got a normal 5watt charger which would need 2.4hr to do it from 0%-100%.
So overall after using the device for the last few months I can conclude that if are not concern about Battery rather than Performance the just grab it. But if you are not concerned about performance rather you need a bigger screen and battery life then you can go for its latest smartphone of this series which is TECNO Spark 5 Air. which would cost you 500TK more which is 9990TK/125$
