What you expect from a breakdown service is that the mechanic comes to your help promptly. But with Teknik Motors, it took them a week to send the mechanic. I have a Thunderbird. Daily I’ve been following up with the manager at Teknik Motors, an daily I receive new promises that the mechanic would be there on that day.
When asked, I’m told that the service charges would be Rs. 150 plus parts if the vehicle does not need towing.
Finally the mechanic arrives. turns out that the spark plug needed replacement. He promptly replaces the spark plug and charges Rs. 300. I’m told that the service charge is Rs. 200, and the spark plug cost is Rs. 100. When I call up the manager to remind him what charges he had promised, he simply says that he never told me any charges. Finally, I have to pay up Rs. 300.
I do not recommend using the services of Teknik Motors, unless it is very much necessary.
I suggest you fix the charges before you go ahead with any of the repair works/servicing.
