Temptations is the small, trendy ice cream parlour at one of the entrances of the Saibeen Complex. A week ago I landed up there and looked to order a "gubud". Of course, no ice cream parlour worth its name in Mangalore can do without gudbud. The menu of Temptations did not list gudbud, but the waiter said they have it.
When the gudbud arrived, it was a complete disappointment. Basically they had dumped three different icecream scoops into the serving glass, then on top of it place some cashew pieces, a cherry, and some pieces of red jelly and some fresh fruits. Complete disappointment. Gudbud has to have all kinds of stuff interleaved between the three icecream scoops, and should have more dry fruits, etc.
If they had been honest, I would have spent the same Rs.30/- on one of their other ice creams which might have been better.
