I have selected ten of the most entertaining movies I have watched. I hope you will like them too.
1) ANDAAZ APNA APNA - A nice comedy movie with good performances from Aamir Khan and Salman Khan who play two youngsters who are trying to marry a rich girl. Karishma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon gave some nice performances. They play tricks on each other to prevent one another from reaching success. There is some action at the end too. The movie is full of comedy and is a must to view.
2) KAL HO NA HO - In the best movie of the year 2003, Shahrukh Khan plays the role of a person who is going to die due to heart failure, but he wants to find a love for the one who he loves very much played by Preity Zinta. The movie has some good work from the crew as well as some great songs. The songs ’Kal Ho Na Ho’ and ’Kuch to huva hai’ gives some classical mood to the movie. The movie has some emotional scenes it which will touch your heart.
3) GUPT - One of the best murder mysteries ever in the history of Bollywood. Bobby Deol stars as Saahil who is accused of murdering his father. He escapes from jail to find the real killer. There are a lot of suspects in the film. But after a lot of twists and turns, the killer is found to be one of the most unsuspected persons. This movie is also a triangular love story with Kajol and Manisha Koirala. Om Puri’s performance and some rocking songs add to the glory of this film.
4) KHILADIYON KA KHILADI - This movie released with the slogan ’Akshay Kumar v/s The Undertaker’. Akshay comes to the town in search of his brother who is in the captivity of the leading gang leader Maya (Rekha) who is supported by none other than ’The Undertaker’ himself. He joins the gang and pretends to fall in love with her to save his brother. There are a lot of fights in this film which keeps you tied to your seats.
5) SARFAROASH - A movie with some good points. Aamir Khan stars as a determined police inspector who is on a mission to save his country from terorists. The movie is all about determination and courage as well as the love one should have for his home country. Sonali Bendre comes up with some exposing scenes in the movie. Super dialogues and acting is a speciality of this film. The movie is entertaining from the beginning to the end. This is one movie you will never want to miss at any cost. It really rocks!
6) JO JEETA WOHI SIKHANDER - A real classic movie of Aamir Khan were he plays a college boy who loves a rich girl who doesn’t really love him. He is loved by another girl at the same time. The cycle race in the end of the movie is really breath taking. Ayesha Jhulka comes up with some good performance with Aamir Khan. The song ’Pehla Nasha’ is a song in this movie which I can never forget. It really is a song which gives us a special feeling. The movie gives us the moral that anything can be achieved through hardwork which I found great.
7) THE BURNING TRAIN - The story of a bomb blast in a specially designed train. The train catches fire and the brakes fail due to the explosion. It moves with high speed with no way to stop. Vinod Khanna stars as the designer of the train. Dharmendra and Jeetendra co-stars as passengers. The movie thrills from the beginning to the end. The movie is said to be about ’the soul of India which remains uncorrupted’. I have heard that this movie was a super hit in box office with some huge collections.
8) KABHIE HAAN KABHIE NAA - This is one of those movies which I could not stop myself from seeing again. The movie tells the story of a guy who is very poor in his college studies, but is very loving by heart (Shahrukh Khan). He is in love with a girl who is loved by another one too. With some good songs and wonderful performance by Shahrukh Khan in one of his earliest films, this movie is just amazing.
9) LAGAAN - A movie which takes us back to a village in India long before independence. The villagers are asked to play cricket and beat the English if they have to escape from the high taxes. Aamir Khan and Gracy Singh play the leading roles in the movie. The movie was nominated for the Oscar, but just lost it to a French film. The movie is a must for all movie lovers as well as the cricket fans. This movie is a different experience for the viewers as it is based on an entirely new theme connecting cricket and the Indian freedom struggle.
10) SHOLAY - One of the classics of all times. Amitavh Bachan has given a performance of his life with Dharmendra as well as Hema Malini. The movie has a good storyline along with nice songs and touching performances by all actors and actresses. I think that the character which is liked most is ’Gabbar Singh’ played by Amjith Khan. The movie shows the life of a village as well as the dacoits horrifying it.
Some other movie which I found interesting are KHILADI, KARAN ARJUN, RANGEELA, SABSE BADA KHILADI, WAQT HAMARA HAI, JUDWAA, QAYAMAT SE QAYAMAT TAK, ANDHAR BAAHAR, INSAAF KA TARAZU, AWWAL NUMBER and KAHO NAA PYAR HAI.
After editing the review, I changed the number 9th spot. I replaced JUDWAA with LAGAAN as well as SHOLAY with MOHABBATEIN for 10th spot. I also changed ANDHAR BAAHAR with KAL HO NA HO for the 2nd spot. KHILADI is changed with KABHIE HAAN KABHIE NAA for the 8th spot. JO JEETA WOHI SIKHANDER comes at 6th spot instead of SOLDIER.
