Oh gosh,
I should say this is an herculean task, as lesser said the
better. I am going to choose movies which were not only
made well in all fields.
But movies were you still enjoy watching.
1.WAQT. A family entertainer, good star cast and most of all
a good story line, you can call it a lost and found formula
but well made, Raaj Kumar was excellent as one of the three
brother’s, who goes to kill Sunil Dutt for a girl and finds
out that is his brother lost in childhood, when the earthquake
struck the family consisting of a father who is proud of
certain things played by the late Balraj Sahni, and within seconds
finds all gone, the third sweet cute youngest is Shashi Kapoor
who is a driver. For the end it is a murder mystery so cannot
reveal. The song by Asha ji. Aagey bhi jaaney na tu,
peechey bhi jaaney na tu, jo bhi hai bas yehi ek pal hai.
2.JAB JAB PHOOL KHILE. Rich girl Nanda and poor boatman
Shashi Kapoor a nice love story, how they fall in love,
and how she tries to transform him but fails instead she
transforms herself for him. Love can make you do anything
but Kashmir was in its most beautiful days then, and every
scence shot was picturised well, for comedy the team of
Mehmood and Malika, ililahi mit na jaai dard e dil a dialogue
always said by Mehmood, a good movie worth a watch.
3.DO KALIYAN. A movie copied by english film Parent trap
was good to watch for the twins played by Neetu Singh,
a well made film for family.
4.MILAN. A film on rebirth, perfomance by all artiste
were excellent, Nutan, Sunil Dutt, Jamuna, Pran songs were
very, very good still we hear Sawan ka mahina pavan kare
shor jiya rahrey jhoomey aise jaise banva naache more.
5.SANGAM. Yeh mera prem patra pudkar ke tum naraaz na hona.
Yes a love triangle, from childhood they love one other
but as they say the best man wins, here the best man
sacrifices. Rajendra Kumar gave an unforgettable perfomance
Raj Kapoor and the girl Vyjainthimala.
Swiss alps were well photographed and the movie was well
made in all departments.
6.SHOLAY. What can one say about this movie so the less
said the better.
7.KOSHISH. A movie worth watching for the facial expressions
of the two senior artiste, Sanjeev Kumar and Jaya Bhaduri.
8.Q.S.Q.TAK. The first film of Aamir Khan, a movie I still
love to see. it had everything you need to make a hit.
9.ARADHANA. A memeroable film, for it’s songs are still
hummed. It needs no introduction.
10.RAM AUR SHYAM. The Dilip Kumar one it had everything,
comedy, love, fight, astrocities of a family and good artiste
a good movie.
For that we have Seeta aur Geeta, Chaalbaaz.
Other good movies were Kabhi Kabhie, Zanjeer, Parichay.
Aangoor, Shaukeen, Ghayal, but the above had something about
them.
Old films like Kaajal, Mamta, Jis desh mein Ganga behti hai,
Dil apna aur preet parai, Dil ek mandir, Saathi, Jugnu,
Phool aur Patthar, and many more.
