5 Rocking songs of 2005

It is about 5 songs that rocks 2005. I luv all. Let me know what you say.

Dus Bahane Karke Le Gaye Dil(DUS)

Lyricists:  Panchhi Jalonvi

Music Director:  Vishal-Shekar

Singer:  KK and Shaan

This song features Abhishek and Jahed. Abhishek now turning to a good actor as well as dancer but can’t say anything about Zahed. This is one of the best dance sequences for the year. From the time when it used to come in promos, I started liking it. It’s really cool. I can’t give some lines which are my favorite but I like its tune very much. The music, lyrics and opening words are so good that it makes the atmosphere live.

Aashiq Banaya Aapne(Title Song)

Singer: Himesh Reshammiya, Shreya Ghoshal

Music Director: Himesh Reshammiya

Lyricists: Sameer

I must say Sameer has a super come back. This is’The Romantic Song’ for me for the year. This Title song is in two versions - original and remixes.  Surprisingly Reshammiya became singer with this track and did a great job. This song could have been a routine love song in the garden or with foreign locations with snow but what can we tell about the picturization, it also beautiful. It was a good marketing technique that Remix version has been released at same time and that attracted young generation. This is the songs which carried the whole album on its sholder.

Woh Lamhe Woh Baatein(Zeher)

Lyricists:  Shakeel Azmi

Singer:  Sayeed Quadri

Music Director:  Mithun Sharma

For me the song of the movie is’agar tum mil jaao’. But it is a soft song and rocking. Rocking song of the movie is Woh Lamhe . I think this song has came from D J Mix and composed by D J Suketu.  Singing reflects the passion in the voice. This is a unique song in which we can have feeling of Gazal though this is a fast and rocking song. This is a soft rock or soft pop also where we automatically start enjoying the song. It’s indeed a rocking.

Kajra re Kajra re Naina(Bunty aur Babali)

Singer: Alisha Chinai

Music Director: Shankar, Ehsaan & Loy

Lyricsts: Who else can be? Its Gulzar

Believe me when I heard this song, I didn’t like it for next 2-3 weeks. It may be because Aish is not decent in the song. Even her dance is also not good. The appearance of Aishwarya had made me think negative about the song. One day I was returning from Baroda. I had to listen what is available in car as no FM radio was there. I had to listen this song. When I listen first few lines believe me I was just stunned, those are like.

’Mera chain bain sab ujda, jaalim nazar hata le

Barbaad ho rahe hai ji, Tere apne shaher wale

ho.meri angdai na toote tu aaja’

I love the first few lines.  Then I listen the full songs. I found it very very good. It’s too cool. This is how a song had become my favorite. Till then it was already popular every where. It has been chosen as the song of the year also in a poll conducted by website. Truly the song is rocking.

Tauba tauba Ishq na Kariya(Kaal)

Music Director: Salim-Sulaiman

Lyrics: Shabbir Ahmed

Singers: Sonu Nigam, Kuna Ganjawala, Richa Sharma, Sunidhi Chauhan

I was not keen about the movie as well as songs because I don’t like thriller and horror movies. Moreover, there is Esha as well as Vivek in movie and both are in my unfavorite list. But one day when I was passing through a school where dance classes was going on. Few kids were dancing on tune of Tauba Tauba. It was the prettiest scene I had seen. I listen to the song and liked it. Then I listen it carefully at home. I feel this is a very good song. The best part of the song is the breezy voices of singers. Songs kicks off with the soft lines and then it picks the momentum. Many a time songs turn into Chorus and I love chorus sound. In fact I feel that this song has actually outshined the Karan Johar’s favorite song Kaal kaal me hum tum.(Shahrukh & Malaika). It is the biggest plus of this song.

This review would not be completed without mentioning these songs. These are also rocking.
