At times Commercials provide a welcome change from the impending tensions of a cricket match or appear right before the nail-bitting climax of a movie. Product promotion has become almost as phenomenal as feature films. People now look forward to new advertisements. Below are someclassic commercials, that are imprinted in my mind.
Aamir-Ash-Pepsi commercial. What does a guy have to do to impress a girl? Run it half way across town, just to get a bottle of Pepsi.
Kapil-Sachin-Boost Ad. Secret of my energy.mine too. This ad was one of the first sports celebrity product endorsement. Excellent ad, aimed at the nutritional value of Boost.
Amul Billboards all over India. Excellent idea, catchy phrases. They not only promote the product, but also give an excellent mocking insight towards current affairs.
Ruffles Lays.Get your own bag. Very addictive advertisement. We used to long to see the kid say that line. Very funny, very effective.
Sprite -Obey Your Thirst. The sprite ad featuring Lisa Ray bathing in a tub filled with Sprite is very funny, and veryin your face.
Glycodine -Kya Hua Bacha roh raha hai. One of the earliest ads that I can remember. The phrase is still famous long after Glycodine has stopped selling the market.
Maruti Esteem -Theres always a next time. The Commercial featuring a father taking his son on a drive to comfort is dismal academic performance. The commercial brings out the idea ofcomfort zone inside the car.
Gits-Instant Mix ads. All the ads are funny, catchy and memorable.
Pan Pasand. The before and after effects of Pan Pasand are so funnily contrasting. The performance by the cast also makes these ads very memorable.
Cadburys Caramilk. The girl who runs into the cricket ground, with herdance of victory is etched in everyones minds. The catch line is amazingly memorable too. I love that ad.
