==== Aao Kuch Seekhe Inse ====

If we look around us, we can learn from everything found in the nature. The flowing water teaches us that it will always flow and will carry a few things along its flow. The insects buzzing around us teach that their noise is, too a kind of music, which they create without any musical instruments. The ant teaches us that hard work always pays, however tiny they are, they laboriously do their work. The flowers spread their fragrance even though they know that their life span is from few hours to few days. The oil burns to dispel the darkness and spread light.

Learning is a neverending process, we learn from our parents, teachers, family, friends, books, nature and last but not the least from songs too. All the cultures have passed their values from one generation to another through stories and songs. They are easier to remember too. There are songs which teach us something if we care to understand and interpret them. Every song which has good lyrics teaches us something. I find some songs as great inspiration and also there is something to learn from them. Hope you too, find an inspiration in them and learn something from these gems.

1) Ai Malik Tere Bande Ham

Movie: Do Ankhen Baarah Haath , Sung By: Lata Mangeshkar , V Shantaram , Music By: Vasant Desai

Ai Maalik tere bande hum , Aise ho hamare karam

Neki par chalen , aur badi se talen

Taaki hanste huye nikle dum

Jab zulmon ka ho samana , Tab tu hi hamein thamna

Woh burai karen , hum bhalaai karen

Nahin badale ki ho kaamna , Badh uthe pyaar ka har kadam

Aur meete bair ka yeh bharam , Neki par chalen

God is great, He is the ultimate Super power, He written our destiny, He alone has power to change our destiny depending upon the deeds/misdeeds that we do. Our deeds ease our life and we have no fear of dying. The path towards goodness is difficult but still travelable. This is a prayer song, when I hear it I get goosebumps and if you see this movie, there will be tears in your eyes, an excellent movie of its time.

2) Mana Teri Nazar Mein Tera Pyaar Hum Nahin

Movie: Ahista Ahista , Sung By: Sulakshana Pandit , Music By: Khaiyyam

Maana teri nazar mein tera pyaar hum nahin

Kaise kahen ke tere talabgaar hum nahin

Tan ko jalake rakh banaaya, bichha diya

Lo ab tumhari rah mein deewar hum nahin

Sincha tha jisako humne tamanna ke khoon se

Chaman mein us bahaar ke haqdar hum nahin

Dhokha diya hai khud ko mohabbat ke naam par

Yeh kis tarah kahen ke gunehagar hum nahin

It is not always that we are fortunate to receive love from someone whom we love. We may yearn for them, but they are in love with someone else. Everyone is not fortunate in this world to find and get love in return. It is very sad that the singer of this song loved Sanjeev Kumar but he never returned her love.

3) Tum Itna Jo Muskura Rahe Ho

Movie: Arth , Sung By: Jagjit Singh , Music By: Jagjit Singh

Tum itna jo muskura rahe ho

Kya gum hai jisko chhupa rahe ho , Tum itna

Aankhon mein nami hansi labon par

Kya haal hai, kya dikha rahe ho , Kya gum hai

Ban jayenge zehar peete peete - (2)

Yehh ashq jo peete ja rahe ho , Kya gum hai

Rekhaon ka khel hai muqaddar - (2)

Rekhaon se maat kha rahe ho , Kya gum hai

A true friend will always know, when you are giving a false smile or smiling from within. A friend who knows you in and out, who is there through thick and thin, there to applaud you as well as criticise you. If you ever find a person like this , cling to him/her coz there will never be another. This is a personal favourite of mine and at times reflect my own moods and I have a special name for this kind of smile, I call it Monalisa Smile.

4)  Saathi Haath Badhana

Movie: Naya Daur, Sung By: Mohammad Rafi, Chorus, Asha Bhonsle, Music By: O P Nayyar

Saathi haath badhana, saathi haath badhana

Ek akela thak jayega mil kar bojh uthana

Sathi haath badhana

Ham mehanatawalon ne jab bhi milkar kadam badhaya

Saagar ne rasta chhoda parbat ne shish jhukaya

Fauladi hain sine apne, fauladi hain baahen

Hum chahen to paida karden, chattanon mein rahen, sathi

This song inspires unity, co-operation, hardwork and brotherhood. If a single person is unable to accomplish something, a team can do it. A team can rise against all odds; can achieve the most hardest and impossible goals. They can pave their own way towards success.

5) Usko Nahin Dekha Humne Kabhi  Ai Ma

Movie: Dadi Ma , Sung By: Mahendra Kapoor , Manna De , Music By: Roshan

Uss ko nahin dekha humne kabhi

Par iski zaroorat kya hogi

Ai maa, ai maa teri soorat se alag

Bhagwan ki soorat kya hogi, kya hogi

Uss ko nahin dekha humne kabhi

Insaan toh kya devta bhi

Aanchal mein pale tere

Hai swarg isi duniya mein

Kadmon ke tale tere

A Mother is a most important person in your life, it is also said that the mother is another form of God. Even heaven is said tobe below her feet. She is the most benevolent person on earth, sadly a person comes to know her value only after losing her. If you are fortunate to have her, respect and love her. Don’t forget after marriage you don’t have one but two mothers, yes if there is mutual understanding she(MIL)  will definitely be a mother to you, even if she is not, she has still given you a great gift-her son or daughter to you.

6) Kabhi Kisi Ko Mukammal Jahan Nahin Milta

Movie:  Ahista Ahista, Sung By: Asha Bhosale, Bhupinder ,  Music By: Khaiyyam

Kabhi kisi ko mukammal jahaan nahin milta

Kahin zamin to kahin aasmaa nahin milta

Jise bhi dekhiye woh apne aap mein goom hai

Zubaan mili hai magar hamzuban nahin milta, Kabhi

Bujha saka hai bhala kaun waqt ke shole

Yeh aisi aag hai jisme dhuan nahin milta, Kabhi

Tere jahaan mein aisa nahin ki pyaar na ho

Jahan ummid ho iski wahan nahin milta, Kabhi

There is no one on this earth who has all his hopes/wishes fulfilled, there is gain as well as some loss in each and everyone’s life. The life is so busy , we have thoughts but no one to share with. This song speaks about the speed in which our life is forging ahead. It also speaks of love and hope. This is another favourite of mine, when I feel low, I always hear this song so that I realize that I am not the only one who has lost on some counts.
