Good, But Can't Top The First Album

While Tera Chehra is, in its own right, a good album, the ’Wow’ factor of Kabhi Tho Nazar Milaao is missing. One gets the feeling that these songs were composed during the same phase and are the ones that didn’t quite make it to the first album. Hence, there is a strong similarity between the songs of the first album and this album. However, it must be admitted that Kabhi Tho Nazar Milao is a tough act to follow.

However, the feeling that Adnan Sami is repeating himself in an effort to capture the magic of his first album is something you just can’t shake off. Meri Yaad is very similar to Barsaat; Tera Chehra in flashes is reminiscent of Kabhi Tho Nazar Milaao. And Kabhi Nahin is very obviously modelled along the lines of Lift Kara De.

Again, while the melodies are nice, and highly listen-able, the music is ’’programmed by Adnan Sami’’ that is, keyboard-generated. Hence, those who go for natural sounds and earthy acoustic music will be disappointed.

All in all, it is worth buying. Given the rubbish that is on offer right now, this kind of music is definitely worth keeping in your music collection.
