A trip to heaven

What’s the price of a ticket to heaven? just 2 crisp 100 rs notes!!

simultaneously mint fresh and well seasoned, u cant believe it comes from a 18 yr old-until u see rahul vaidya in the credits -and then it doesnt surprise anymore.his much misunderstood and much maligned superconfidence gets channelised here into an extremely self assured performance.

the golden vocals are in peach form here, aided by crisp melody by sajid-wajid and silky lyrics by jalees sherwani.

his forte always was soft, romantic and emotive songs. most of the songs in the album fit the bill perfectly. the sheer emotions he pours into every song is astounding and sure to give goose bumps.

heavily infatuated by sonu nigam, he still adds nuances and adaas of his own. not content with those, he caresses every word with crystal clear diction and yet retains the melody intact.

tumse bichadke and tere liye are topnotch. he handles the crests and troughs of the tunes with the ease of a veteran. the title song is an instant heartthrob-abetted by the visual pleasure of the video with pretty vedika.

mausam lingers on in the mind long after the season changes. kangna re and maula-deviants from the style of the above songs are personal favorites to. simply bcos they are so unexpected coming from those silky vocals.he reiterates with these catchy ones that racy numbers are not beyond his grasp. for once, its a pleasure to be proven wrong.

kuch to kaho, a lilting ballad comes last on my list only bcos the others are far superior. or maybe the melodious pairing with impressive prajakta made the green eyed monster rear its head in me.

not since `deewana’ and `saathiya’ have I heard an album where every song is a gem in its isolation.(P.S- they sound even better with headphones)

go for it-this one will have you hitting the play button over and over .

millions of rahul fans can rejoice. the album is a strong statement by young vaidya in favour of those who still consider him the rightful owner of the indian idol title.

thank you, dear, for justifying our love and faith.

thank you for existing.
