Love, Lies, and Yawns

Ladkiya humesha Rajkumaro ko chunti hai. Pyaar mai unko samajdaari ki aadat hoti hai - These lines tell about the love in todays generation.

Typically, the hype this movie has created is not worth watching. Slow and steady story with many unwanted songs and scenes already gives a sign where why people dont want to watch it. I especially, not recommend watching it in cinemas. Not a one time too!

Cast:-

Taking Dhanush as Shankar and Kriti Sanon as Mukti creates a huge impact on their career lives as well. Their acting is the best and worth it, I guess that’s what made it bearable to sit for hours to watch this movie. Not to forget, Prakash Raj’s best acting, no one can beat it.

Story:-

Its a simple story of a mean girl who wants to complete her assessment of turning a violent person into a non-violent by her small experiments to prove that people can change. That will lead her to get his PhD certified in Pyschology, which is too meanful. Todays generation, where many relationship arrives like Nanoship, Situationship, etc will rectify this as practical. But they forgot about feelings and emotions; the boy fell so hard in love that he could barely handle it.

UPSC are everywhere for a broken man to do. Its become a trend now. Clearly, his prelims in 3 years and with completion, the promises between him and her dad. But, she already started her life with someone less. Dialogues related to matters or not? and Did you ever love me? make for a wild conversation about the dark reality of todays generation’s kind of relationships.

The father-son duo made me cry for a moment. Father recalls every childhood moment and dream. Also, the scene at Manikarnika Ghat at Banaras, where Shankar went to get the last rites of his father, is sad too.

Climax is quite practical and unpredictable; man always sacrifice at the end. A simple and typical storyline was made even more boring. Last line consists of Hum aankri nasal honge sacha pyaar karne waale. Iske baad log bade kaam karenge lekin pyaar nahi is one of the best examples shown with respect to bends with reality.

Songs:-

All songs are quite good; the title track and Usey Kehna by AR Rahman felt it. Apart from that, one more song revealed in the movie, a sad one named Aawara Angara, made my evening. Ranjhana background music is also used in one of the sad scenes.

Conclusion:-

Total waste of time and money to watch this movie. No use of the storyline and the concept of making it. Comparatively, we have better romantic movies in Bollywood like Saiyaara and Ek Deewane ki Deewaniyat.
