As referred by my brother, I started reading the book. It starts very well. I was actually glued to the book during the initial days. First three chapters are excellent. Written well, narrated well and entertaining. The old man, his thoughts, his wisdom, his strengths and weaknesses, plots and strategies are so real and lively. I could build my own movie from the narrative, in my minds eye and this has left a very good experience for me. This has raised my expectations from the book.
As you read through, it grows on into a mere description of the lifestyle of each of his wives and their children. These chapters slowly sideline the story and revolved around some tom, dick and harry!!!! They slowly decreased my interest.
Hoping to find some better narrative in further chapters, I continued reading the book. But, I was disappointed. It got further boring. Searching for a woman, who has inherited n billion dollars, on an isolated island and the ordeals in the travel!!
The story of the lawyer who goes on a search for that woman, is quite imaginary and seems to be a mere attempt by the author, to build up the pile.
Rest of the story is neither interesting nor special. It can all be easily guessed and the end is obvious.
