Finally, after the much long wait , the most awaited and under media highlight since last few days, Vijay’s Thalaiva movie has released today. It is year 1988. The don, Varadarajan Mudaliar, of Dharavi Slums, Mumbai has died. There is no one to look after the area. His son Vishwa is now an orphan and there is no one to look after him.
Amidst violence, Anna picks up the responsibility to guard Dharavi slums and sends Vishwa to Australia to complete his education. Being in Australia, Vishwa falls for Meera. But how long could a person stay away from his homeland? When Vijay returns, he is shocked seeing the condition of the slums and then he takes the oath and responsibility to take over the throne that his father once sat upon.
How Vishwa takes over Dharavi and lead the slum people and deal with the enemies of his father forms the rest part of the spectacular story. Vijay, no doubt, stands out! Amla Paul is ravishing but has less to do. Plot is excellent and the screenplay just does the work. Music is soulful and apt as per the script but just not good enough to find place in one’s personal collection.
Though, Vijay fans would definitely love it. Thalaiva with its high entertainment quotient forms a must watch watch for Vijay fans.
