Ridiculous

There’s the saying that if hammer is the only tool you own, every problem looks like a nail.

Mr. Spielberg and Mr. Jackson know action. They can’t make a movie where the plot is defined by ingenuity of a young reporter and ingenuity and resourcefulness is what fixes the problems. The movie reminded me of the sequels to The Matrix - action for the stupid sake of action. How many ways can you dodge a bullet? how many people can you kick while going round a pole?

Pretty tasteless from a story perspective. How Tintin and the Captain Haddock discover the treasure has been totally revised relative to the comic. The highlight of the film for me was that the characters looked good relative to the image I have had in my mind. It was sad that all they could do was to be fighting in rather silly and contrived fights.

If Mrs. Speilberg and Jackson had grown up with Tintin, we would have seen something better, They were like mercenaries who didn’t appreciate what Tintin means to hundreds of millions of fans who grew up with him.
