The Alchemist is a book written by the Author Paulo Coelho. I read this book a year ago and it was my first book so I found it quiet difficult to absorb it but when I read it again after some time I understood it again after sometime I understood it. So you may need to read it twice to really understand the meaning which the Author wants to Convey , But again it really depends on you.
So the book is about a boy named Santiago, he is a shepherd with few desires like he wants to be free to roam with his sheep. Fate Intervens in the form of Recurring dream of a great treasure hidden thousands of miles away at the base of the Egyptian Pyramid. When Santiago meets Melchizedek, a strange wise man who claims that he is a king from a far-off land, he decides to seek his treasure, The Next day Santiago sells his sheep and embarks to Africa to pursue his dream.
Throughout his Journey he learns to listen to the heart and to follow the language of Omens. With each passing obstacle and hurdle that the young boy encounters, there is a lesson to learn.
The special thing if this book is that it is not like other books where you are told stuff’s but lessons which are hidden in the Story.
So one thing I can assure you that you will not get bored, once you start it you will finish it by the next moment.
