The Alchemist, written by Brazilian lyricist and novelist Paulo Coelho, has been successfully published in 70 languages across the world with over 65 million copies sold, the book deserves to hold the tag ofInternational Bestseller.
The book narrates the life experiences of an Andalusian Shepherd boy Santiago who dreams about exploring the world to findtreasure. The book follows a fable surrounding Santiagos experiences during his travel appetite. From King Melchizedek to the so called titleThe Alchemist itself, the characters in the book create impact on the reader.
Mr. Coelho has done pretty well with his narration skills and language use. The Egyptian Desert, the Andalusian area, the desert woman all elements of the book are bound to the story and hold the readers interest until the end of the book.
The book pretty much does not have a long storyline, but Mr. Coelho has achieved excellence in expressing the finest details of Santiagos life. Though the book may not be called much of fiction book considering the depth of the plot, the metaphors and strong motivating life incidents of Santiago surely carve the readers mind. For me, this book isA Self-Motivating Fiction.
Whether it is the Alchemists quotes or King Melchizedeks pride of beingPersonal Legend, Mr. Coelho doesnt fail to create an impact over the language. The warmness of Santiagos feelings overThe Desert Woman ignites the plot and increases the level of depth.
If you like Self-Help books, be sure to pick this one.
One of the Finest from Paulo Coelho. Definitely a good read.
Happy Reading!
