The Alchemist by paulo coelo is one of the best book. It is about journey of completing dreams of an young boy, santiyago.
The story is, santiyago has a dream of travelling the the world and one night when he was slept he saw one dream that in egypt, under one tree he finds treasure.
Now to find that treasure he travels through the desert and how various peoples like old man, english man helps him and finally he go to that place which he seen in that dream and there he got indications like the money was under the tree where he had seen that dream. The essense of this story is that true treasure is in yours front.
The language used in this book is very simple and very short and sweet book this is! So I recommend to read this book atleast once in a life
