Ancient Barbeque is modeled on the same idea as the older Barbeque Nation. There is a grill on your table on which the staff will pile skewer after skewer of vegetarian and non-vegetarian starters. I had the prawns, fish, chicken and mutton starters which were all good. The grilled pineapple which I really liked in BBQ Nation was a disappointment here. I also tried the mushroom starter which was so-so.
The main course was the same spread. Dal, and veggies in the vegetarian section. Anyone following my reviews would know that I don’t event look at the vegetarian section. So in the non-veg section there was the Hyderabadi biryani, mutton gravy, chicken shanghai, fish in black bean sauce. I tasted all and all were good - especially the melt in your mouth mutton and the delicious fish in bean sauce. I also liked the Biryani which was flavourful.
Highly recommended for a nice family time.
