Hyderabad is distinct!
Hyderabad is distinct of all cities in India. and that distinction is clear in the language spoken, both the Hindi and the Telugu. The flavour of the language is very good, and interesting and it makes you to listen again and again.
The language is so good that you can listen it for long length of time. The two scenes were Salim Pheku and Jahangir are telling abt their adventures is really lengthy but nothing special for any Hyderabadi. This is common for us!
The Director has put this in the right way to illustrate what Hyderabad is.
The Flavour of Hyderabad
1. The flavour of Hyderabad is clear in the film, people can spend their time in a irani hotel, paying for 2 cups and sharing it between three or four people, four or five times a day. The film also highlights the problems for Hyderabadi youth who are easily attracted to a person like Ismail Bhai, who spends just a chai and some free cigarattes, does nothing comparatively other than "25 saal se Charminar Pe Baithna"
- The film also shows, the difference in the sections of people in Hyderabad, while you have the high tech city at one end with all interesting fizz, in the same Hyderabad, there is the old city, where NRIs and foriegners are called Angrez!!
That is really a point to be thought about, it is like a great divide. It is time all people should know what computers are and what software is all about.
- The movie highlights the relation shared in Hyderabad, a tea can do so many wonders. A person like Ismail bhai is helpful, although he is a little taken away by some false praising, but it shows that he has a good character, like he is taken up some good works like helping his Patthe to pay their fees and all that.
Spicy
The movie clearly depicts that we Hyderabadis like more and more of Spicy biryani. and that it can be very hurting to a foriegner like Rochak and Prannoy. The kind of going behind an NRI is continued like in Hyderabad Blues where, Sandhya was behind Varun, we have Lotus behind Prannoy.
The spicy item stays, but the contrasting characters of the beautiful Sheetal and the sexy Tania are clearly brought out. While Tania readily agrees to go for lunch, Sheetal diplomatically denies and is really bent upon for Prannoy.
Divide and Rule
The movie can be called THE ANGREZ because here again the NRIs who are Angrez in this film divide and rule, they take advantage of the gangs, of Ismail Bhai and of Yadav anna, and get rid of them very easly by making them fight.
Dialogues
The dialogues are really interesting, the way Ismail bhai is angry says " Phukat ke chaiya, , phukat ke samosa, phuket ke cigaratta, pite yaa kuch kaam bhi karte" really attracts
The Hero
Salim Pheku seems to be the real hero in the film, He is such intelligent guy. Although he is a real boaster, he has the capacity to get work done. His network is really appreciable. As the director wanted to make NRIs look intelligent, his plans have shown as failed, if that was other way round everyone would have appreciated his way of working.
Over and all nice film to watch with friends, and enjoy laughing all the way!
