Red, Zeta & Silver will leave you with quite a few chuckles without trying to be preachy. Kudos to the first time Director Thurop Van Orman & co-director John Rice for making a hilariously superior sequel!
Right from the tone, style & humour, everything is A1! The editing by Kent Beyda and Ally Garrett is sharp. With impressive visuals & 3D, there are some excellent visual gags, slapstick humour & a sub-plot with three adorable hatchlings.
On the flip side, the tonality of the film remains silly throughout. Also, the parallel track of the hatchlings never really develops into anything meaningful and there are other unwanted plots which make The Angry Birds Movie 2 fluffy & asinine.
All said & done, The Angry Birds Movie 2 is crammed with valuable life lessons tucked away discreetly. But what’s truly admirable is the absence of cynicism. It’s all heart, funny and emotional; there’ll be laughs, and a lump in your throat!?
