The Assassin’s Blade is a collection of five short stories by Sarah J. Maas and is a prequel to the Throne of Glass series. The book describes the journey of Celaena Sardothien, the most famous and notorious assassin in the kingdom of Adarlan along with her fellow assassin Sam Cortland. Despite being famous for her notoriety, there are certain missions that Celaena refuses to do and faces the consequences for disobeying the orders of her master, Arobynn Hamel. The author portrays Celaena as a cocky, arrogant and extremely talented assassin who also shows kindness and compassion while hiding several secrets . The Assassin’s Blade is a wonderful blend of fantasy, mystery, action, adventure and romance with its fair share of friendship, love and betrayal and is definitely worth the money.
