The Blair Witch project is a low budget movie with no big names or glamourous stars, no fancy filming, no soundtrack, no movie sets.
What it really consists of is three college kids following a local legend who cant manage to follow a map and end up wondering around in the forest, pursued by some mysterious force, until they find themselves thinking that the Blair Witch is more than a legend.
But despite all the things that would make it sound like just another lame movie, this one really pays off. It is high-thrills at low-production cost.
The element of darkness combined with woods and a creepy something that leaves little presents outside their tent at night is enough to put a shiver down the toughest spine, but what really gives you the creeps is the reality feel the movie creates, like this actually happened, like this is real footage.
This movie proves that the ability to evoke fear in a person is more than showy special effects and lots of Hollywood stars. Blair Witch will stimulate in you the realization that this can happen anywhere, to anyone, maybe even to you.
