Lets begin by saying that the only thing I
found scary about this movie is the fact that
it cost me money to see it. I love horror,
suspense, slash em ups, thrillers, sci-fi
and good old fashioned monster movies.
This was none of the above. It tried but
fell miserably short.
A documentary style film with poor sound and
poor photography (which I assume was done
intentionally to add to the realism)? ?
Most movie reviews contain a plot summary
and a brief discussion on the point of the
movie. Sorry gang, there was no plot and in
my opinion the movie was pointless. There was
no gore or horror (which isnt necessarily bad)
and the only fear factor was played against
our traditional fears of the dark, being lost
and the unknown. Running through the woods at
night can be very scary but just doesnt come
across very well in this film.
I did forget to mention THE one scary part and
that was the acting (if you can call it that).
Even a mock documentary should do better than
what was served to us here. Labeling the
actors as annoying amateurs may be a
kindness.
In summation, we have no plot, no point,
no acting, no directing, no cinematography,
and that equals no enjoyment.
Obviously, the film was a success to many
people but to me, it was a waste of time and
money or maybe I just believed the hype and
expected much, much more ?
