I dont think this movie was the greatest thing since sliced bread, like almost everyone else did when it first came out. But it definitely was creative and SCARY. I was fascinated by an interview I saw with one of the cast members. She was explaining how the cast literally was trapped in the woods for several days of shooting, with little food and none of the comforts of home. Also, most of the dialogue was improvised. Knowing this made me appreciate the film much more.
I also liked that it was filmed in black and white. But many people complained that the jerky camera movements made them sick to their stomachs.
In addition, the film was marketed so mysteriously that Im sure it will be remembered for years to come.
