Dan browns book , The Da vinci code is a new genre of fiction , based on fact from history and religion through the ages
This book is about The Da vinci code, of course, as the name says: the Renaissance painter who was famous for his art; because of his playful and extremely clever way of layering his artwork with multiple meanings . To this day symbologists study his paintings in an effort to decode its myriad symbolism.
The book unravels this whole concept, with references to some of his more famous paintings and their symbology about Mary Magdalene, Paganism, wicca and the ancient Goddess worship cults and the secret society Priory of Sion.
The key characters in this book; a symbologist and a cryptologist, take you through a wild treasure hunt and chase to find lost documents that would otherwise have been lost forever. It is an unputdownable book, the author had me racing through the pages along with the characters to the last page in 48 hours flat!
The concepts in the book, are based on truth, and it may be offensive to the Christians, but there is actually no Anti-Christ ideology; but there are suggestions about contents of the Bible being modified and having a one-sided perspective. Bits about the woman in The Last Supper, Mary Magdalene; The Cup of Christ and its relation to the Holy Grail , and the general ties to Goddess worship are a few of the astonishing revelations in the book, that will make one think.
As each code in this book reveals itself; it causes gooseflesh! I think by the end of the book, I felt like I knew Robert Langdon and Sophie Neveu personally and up close!! That is definitely the work of a skilled writer!
Definitely recommend this book!
Love,
Ashtoreth.
Addendum: After the book, the only logical way to go is to try and solve the game!!
