Picture this! Someone happens to stumble upon this little piece of information that may just uproot the Vatican Church and make a joke of all that binds and unites todays christian society. But how does one inform the public of this? How does he set the truth free. Simple. You keep the truth and and superimpose the facts onto a well crafted fictional background.
That is exactly what Dan Brown has done in this book. The first page of the book is titled FACTS. As one would guess, it simply tell the fact from fiction. It is basically about a secret society called The Priory of Sion and The Opus Dei. Former members of this society include Leonardo DaVinci, Sir Isaac Newton, Victor Hugo.... This society that has been around for over 2000 years to protect and guard a secret. A secret that the modern church meticulously and carefully tried to deform out of existence.
It basically revolves around a symbologist and historian, Robert Langdon and a DJCP (French FBI) cryptologyst, Sophie Neveu, who find themselves wanted for the murder of a Museum curator.
The story runs extremely fast and is very well written. The writing style isnt much different from that of Robert Ludlum or even Jeffery Archer. Anyone who has read anything by those two, should find this book to be quite a treat.
