The Economic Times is definitely n undoubtedly one of the very best business newspapers that’s available in the country.
I like the specific newspaper not just due to a reason or so but there are quite a few. The pioneer would be that I just like the news it is good at presenting. The presentation itself is pretty good and so is the material n language. Another point in it’s favour would be that it does not bestow the reader with balderdash as many newspapers I’ve come across do so or at least seem to do so.
I like the fact that the newspaper seems to respect the reader’s opinion n intelligence and give forth reviews n reports as such.
The newspaper is brilliant for students preparing for exams etc because of the wide variety of essential information it provides on an international scale though it’s more inclined towards the Indian economy which is good enough for the students.
I also like it because I find the Stock Market an amazingly interesting place and the newspaper provides an insight to it. ‘The Dossier’ (a section of the newspaper that’s available) is a really good read n gives a current picture to what’s there or what’s not.
Though the one thing that can be considered as a negative point would be that it has almost no gossip. And that most definitely is real bad… come on where’s the mirch masala n spice that is added through gossip but I guess it would tarnish the image of the newspaper as a solemn, serious, sedate n thoughtful newspaper.
What more... It’s pretty economical at Rs 2.00 from monday to friday. Which is pretty good with the content in mind.
So I think the newspaper is almost the best. Hey, please do not ignore the word almost coz anything n everything can be improved upon or so I think.
