What a movie it was !!! I was simply spell bound. The movie which swept the Oscar awards was certainly a very well made movie. Infact well made is a small and not enough to describe what I felt.
Its a love story and unlike the Hindi movies which only tom-tom about being ’’different’’, this is indeed a magical movie. Love story, war, desert romance, what , more could one ask for. The starting is indeed a bit slow but once u get into the movie, the pace is not an issue.
The performance is par excellence. Ralph Fiennes is amazing and slips into the character with utmost ease. And the ’’Chocolat’’ lady, Juliette Binoche is simply great.
The movie is worth more than a watch.
Pls either rent a DVD or buy one, but pls see it. The setting in the dersert is so real that once the movie is over, u almost feel like taking a bath to wash away the sand. And the way the movie shifts from the past to the present is wonderful.
