I am used to watching Hollywood flicks a lot, many of which are not even listed on MS or not even known to many people. I caught one such name, The Fall, casting Lee Pace, only one character I knew, among all from Pushing Daisies(Star World) and thought to watch it .
In a hospital on the outskirts of 1920s Los Angeles, an injured stuntman begins to tell a fellow patient, a little girl with a broken arm, a fantastical story about 5 mythical heroes. Thanks to his fractured state of mind and her vivid imagination, the line between fiction and reality starts to blur as the tale advances.
The visuals of this movie are such I have never seen before. Every scene is a work of art from the orange deserts to bright red blood soaked sheet. The movie might seem as a usual classic initially but sticking to it is worth anything. The characters seem to be absorbing in you and you feel it . This film is truly a "Fairy Tale For Adults" as described by one of the movie sites.
This movie is also picturised in India along with an Indian in the main cast. Jaipur, Udaipur and New Delhi are the main you can relate with. And I just dont know what I liked about this movie. Something which can only be felt once you go through. It is a sentimental, sensitive, soft at the same time action movie which for sure made me cry at the end. A classic of its own type for sure.
Actors-
Lee Pace(Roy Walker / Blue Bandit) - I came to know about him from the episode of Pushing Daisies and I just admired him for his cuteness. But I never knew he could do such a sensitive, real role as well. He has done superb as a hospitalized, paraplegic stuntman.
Catinca Untaru( Alexandria) - This is one girl who will go far in her life. She is simply superb, I dont remember when was the last time when I saw a kid so young doing such a meaningful and a worthy act. Her role says so much as well as she is very pretty and adorable .
If you are a substantial movie lover and believe in watching good stuff, please dont give this a miss.
