Tend to be One Of the Best

"FALLEN IDOLS" , the first novel of the "JACK GARRET & LAURA McGNAITY" series. And also it is the Debut Novel of the very famous writer Neil White.

A Premiership footballer is shot dead on a busy London street. Shooting is done by a sniper gun from a near by building. Two more footballers are murdered with same modulus operandi and the country is gripped with terror. Who is behind thiese apparently motiveless killings, and who’s next in the firing line? The next one David Watts, A famous english footballer gets a call from the killer threatening him to confess the crime he committed 20 years ago, else he would meet  the same fate.

The crime is revealed in the middle of the story. 20 years ago, a girl who was classmate of the same person was raped and murdered outside a party venue, in a garden. There is no proof when David last saw the girl before the murder. It is common sense that David only murdered the girl leaving no trace evidence and proof. That is not important. What forms the major part of the story is that

- who is the present killer?

- Why is she taking revenge on behalf of that girl killed 20 years back who was neither her kin nor any close friend?

The plot was awesome. Characterization was strong. The story flow was well maintained  managing to grip the reader till the end. Very good action scenes. Too good a book for a debut author. Hats off to him.

It was so good that had i been a film producer , i would have instantly purchased the copyright and made a Thriller Movie on it. I will give it 4.5 out of 5 Difficult to put down till the end. Close your eyes and go for it
