Being a diehard fan of The Flash, and watching Justice League Animated show, TV Movies and other dedicated Flash movies, when I saw the teaser video of The Flash in Arrow, I was damn excited for the show.
Patiently waiting and counting days for watching the Pilot of the series, I was very happy to know that I was going to watch a dedicated show of one of the coolest superheroes.
Plot:( No Spoilers) The story revolves around a forensic scientist, Barry Allen, who works for Central PD. Due to certain circumstances, his father is sent to jail and Barry has to live with a kind hearted Police Detective, Joe West as a foster child. But then the normal life of Barry changes where he is struck by a lightening from a failed Partical Accelerator experiment. After waking up from 9 months in coma, he gradually notices changes in his body and then we witness the birth of our new superhero, the fastest man on Earth, The Flash.
Cast: Grant Gustin( Barry Allen), Danielle Panabaker( Caitlin Snow), Carlos Valdes( Cisco Ramon) and Jesse L. Martin( Joe West) are without any doubt, the best actors in this series. Characters in this show arent baseless objects, the writers have successfully added depth to them. Candice Patton as Iris West didnt suit the role very well and seems irritating at times. No offense to her though but Iris as a character here is a bit repellant.
Music Background Score: Music does really create a special effect and helps in enhancing the intensity of any show or movie, the title track is good but being a viewer myself, I cant really enjoy the BG score used in this show.
Overall Review:( No Spoilers)
This show started with a huge bang, but it became inconsistent midway in season one and I was feeling now we will see some connection or progression in the story, but there were so many unfinished sub plots where I couldnt enjoy watching the show.
One cant deny the fact that the writing crew seems to be full of ideas but I like things to be built up slowly and the right thing must pop out of nowhere.
This show isnt that realistic because you can notice Cisco Ramon can create anything, you need a gold gun, he will create it for you. There are few things which arent there in this show and it not being realist is one of them.
Conclusion: This show is now( Season 2) running at a great pace, people are eager to watch the latest episodes, its all due to the superb acting and writing. Now this show has created a path for itself, and it must rock everyones mind because being a huge fan of the superhero myself, I really expect them to make this show a bit more realistic and stronger. Im in love with the CGI and fighting sequences showed in the show, they are brilliant! The show isnt perfect right noq but few elements when added will surely do the job.
