Spine tingling

Steven has done it again! This is a great movie. I have watched this 3 times and will watch it many more. It takes place a long time ago I would guess around the Great Depression. Tom Hanks is a head guard for a prison that holds people on death row called the Green Mile. He takes care very lovingly of the people about to be put to death by being electrocuted. He shows a gentle caring side to the people that are truely sorry for their sins, but the ones that aren’t sorry he shows no mercy to. The movie left me with many questions the first time that I watched it, could there really be such a person as big John. He is a prisoner who was sent to the Green Mile for killing two little girls. He has special healing powers which he shows to boss, that is what he calls Tom Hanks and anyone else in authority. We see so much pain in this movie in so many ways.In the way the men who guard the prisoners day after day become attatched to them only to see them die so violently. Also in seeing someone who is innocent and good pay for a crime that they did not commit only knowing that life was so cruel to him that he was too tired to go on with the everyday abuse. There are so many exciting pieces to this puzzle. See the film and feel for yourself all the emotions. I would very much like to hear what other people see in this movie. All of the actors are terrific and they took me for a great ride, and I thank them.
