Just who the is Kalpana Sharma. I am referring to the person who wrote the article on the edit page of “Hindu” of 22 January 2003 asking “who will apologise to Gilani.”
Is it because he is from your fraternity? ( from the media)
Is it because he is from the minority community?
Is it because our investigating authorities and the home ministry is staffed by most incompetent people?
Is it because he is the son-in-law of a Pakistani stooge?
Apologies for what? When there are over a million Indian people languishing in Indian Jails waiting for trial by a tainted judiciary for over an average of 6 years, what apologies does Kalpana Sharma wants to be given to Gilani and his family for putting him behind bars for seven months at the Govt: expenses with all the comforts that he did not deserve. He was at least safe there from the hundreds of splinter groups of so called “freedom fighters” (read terrorists)
If Gilani was not punished, it is because of the total inefficiency (or conspiracy) of the people who investigated the case. We have seen it in the Parliament attack case and many other similar cases.
Who will apologise to the families of those killed in J&K by the militants. Who will apologise to those killed in Bombay Blast of 92 and subsequent riots, Who will apologise to those killed in Kargil? Who will apologise those who were killed in Godhra and there after? Why? Who will apologise to Nagappa’s family?
If cooking up evidence is done in India, destroying evidence and willfully concealing the truth and a biased judiciary is also prevalent in India. You want examples. Look at least couple of current chief ministers and spouse of a popular chief minister. Look at the Bollywood fraternity turning hostile at the drop of a hat just to please the Bhais. Look at the HC judge’s behavior in Haryana, Rajasthan and Karnataka.
Peace in Kashmir? My foot. When a part of the human body gets cancer it must be amputated. After driving out all the non Muslims from J&K they are crying wolf. If I had an opportunity I would give away Kashmir to who ever want it and save millions of lives of the genuine Indians. Look at what happened to the East Pakistan. Look at Srilanka, Look at Burma ( Myanmar or what ever you want to call) Look at Nepal, Why even a small state like Bhutan. Do we need another lesson?
In a country like India where people like Kalpana Sharma and the like rise up to support Gilani and his ilk, there is no salvation. We are condemned to pay and read or watch the trash turned out as news papers, magazines and TV channels. I wonder when she is going to come up asking the Karnataka and Tamil Nadu government to apologise to Sarva Shree Veerappan.
I am no BJP/VHP/RSS/ supporter. I am just an “unfortunate” Indian who for worked 35 years untiringly to feed my family while paying my taxes, obeying traffic rules, not encroached forest or revenue land, or stole from the Govt: treasury, did not belong to SC/ST/OBC/and other pampered sector, and silently suffered the atrocities of the so called world’s largest demo-crazy. But today I raise my voice against people like Kalpana Sharma who writes 1000 word article asking the Government to apologise to a known anti Indian , pro Pakistani, stooge.
I am sure Kalpana Sharma must belong to the elite class of people who writes for fun and uses the pin money for her lipsticks or kitty party. Or she could be a sibling of some politician or bureaucrat who needs to be pleased by you as an editor.
But I don’t need to. Well that is it. I just called up the newspaper vendor and told him not supply me “Hindu” from tomorrow and I have a taken an oath not to even look at it even if I get my groceries packed in your news paper. I was a regular reader of Hindu since I was 12 and at 60 I have to say the standard has dropped to such levels I dare not touch it again.
It may not make any difference to you. It makes a difference to me.

I know you will not publish it. But send this to Kalpana Sharma and ask her to go and live in Pakistan. With Indians like her living here practicing treason, what difference does it make if we have over scores of Bangladeshis, Pakistanis, Napalese and Srilankans on our soil practicing subversion every day.
