Hindustan times is among the leading Newspapers of the country and has largest circulation. It does have resonable mix of various type of news and generally have something for everyone. Even if you dont intend to read then it has some real good photographs of ’beautiful people’.
Problem with the news paper is that their sales or promotion team has resorted to unfair means to increase the circulation. Even I was trapped for subcribing the newspaper for seven months by paying the subscription in advance in Oct 05. And I was promised a Gift within 2-4 weeks. It is more than six months and gift is still awaited.
I did try to get in touch over the web/telephone but it seems .... all addresses and everybody on board is a part of it and may be their are thousands like me who are being cheated on daily basis.
Caution.... Dont get trapped if you are given such a offer. They are as unfair as your next door bania.
Again to clarify that I like the newspaper and still subscribe to it but have bitter experience about the promised gift.
I had similar experience with Outlook magazine but when I called them up they did take a note of it and the Gift was sent with an apology note. That was how a good company behaves.
I hope the board cleans the company of such elements.
