Wow, wot an amazing place, unexpected jackpot.

We just loved Jungle Resort Amba. Totally different from our daily grind. Very refreshing.

We visited the resort during Diwali vacation and my kids still cannot stop talking about the wonderful things we experienced there.

The safaris were excellent and the attention to details was good, they even served us tea in the Ghats while watching the sunset. The staff was careful enough to pick up all garbage and left nothing behind, mind you these staff is not trained waiters but their zeal to keep their jungles clean was worth noticing.

The sightseeing was interesting, we never imagined tea plantations in Maharashtra but here we visited them and also the tea factory. Night Jungle safari is out of this world, when the engines were shut off, we heard various night sounds and are still thrilled with them. But we did not get to see anything. The torch guy said that most of the animals are being killed by poachers. Very sad.

Visit to Pawankhind, made my maharashtrian chest swell with pride. Our guide telling us that we owe our way of life and our very existence to this great man Shivaji and his mawla’s.

The wanabhojan was a pleasant surprise for us made more fun by the arrival of the owner Mr. Rajan Eklahare. Who showed us some jadibuti of the jungle and informed us that some ayurvedic medicines are still indigenous to Amba forest. He was also candid enough to mention that he is also just learning the various names.

Evening was made fun with BBQ and music Mr. Rajan joining the fun and giving personal attention to every guest.

Owner took pride is showing off the pets, cats, dogs, hens, also going overboard and calling the brahmini kite (which nests in the resort) his pet.

The resort overall is neat and tidy, rooms were cozy could have been better but knowing that we spent most of the time outdoors it was ok. Foods was excellent, tambda, pandhra was out of this world. Breakfast needs improvements and the owner assured us he will do the needful. Service was great even after being self service you could see them running around at every call.

Goodbyes were most difficult as my kids refused to leave the place, my kid wanted to take alex the cat home. We cherish this moment until next time then. Tanaji, Raju, Tukaram, you guys rock! And lastly Rajan sir, you run a good ship captain!!
