By coincidence, the(former) US Consul General was present when I was screaming on the phone in the Business Center in the Lobby cuz my card was declined - he offered to "help out" with VISA. The concierge was a cute Marathi who seemed more impressed by the plasma tv in my room - than I was! The food is standard - youd do better catching a rick to one of the million good restaurants near Sahar Airport. Try and bargain with the conceirge and DONT do the "NRI"("confused") thang by accepting the rate initially qouted at the front desk. Sometimes these Indian hotels think they are doing YOU a favor giving you accomadation(yes, Indian, were PAYING for this!).
Chances are I could have offered the concierge a cool 20, 000 rs to bed with me for the night - I mean, that would have been worth the moolah - in - the - coolah!
