Finally Chandigarh has a good lounge to hang out .

Just thought of updating my review after yesterdays visit to The Lobby.... So just inserting some feedback points where required.

Tier 1 cities have so many good restaurants and lounges so people have many choices but Chandigarh has got it’s first decent lounge now which is the beginning of the lounge concept in chandigarh. I’m glad it happened.

The lobby restaurant & Lounge located at Sector 26 , Madhya Marg , Chandigarh is a place with great ambiance and fabulous music. I’m sure if they do percussion nights it will be a superb attraction.

The menu lists dishes from the Indian and Italian cuisine. Choice is a bit limited so you don’t really have to think much.

First visit - We didn’t want to have Indian so we ordered for Italian with red bull, Gingerale and some mocktails. We started with mini spring rolls, continental style ( Don’t remember the name of the dishes ) and they were really very tasty followed by the main course ......... 2 pasta’s. First was the vegetarian Lasagne which was so so yummy and the best part is that the lasagna pasta sheets were egg free so 100% vegetarian.

The second dish we ordered was fusilli in pesto sauce but we didn’t like that at all somehow ( even though I love pesto sauce )so we left the entire dish. The steward was hospitable enough and offered us to change the dish , but we did’nt want that since we were almost full so refused with a thanks. I had 2 mocktails the first one was with some chunks of melon and the second one with pieces of plum. I loved the first one . It was neither too sweet nor too sour - JUST PERFECT. This mocktail was just my kind and has given me a reason to go again for the same one next time. It’s a must try. Second one - nah. Billing was quick and quiet ok. Will visit there again and write more then.

On the second visit - We were a group of 5 and ordered some drinks which were a little less chilled but quiet alright. We had some great tasting Peshawari Murg Tikka and yummy hunan style batter fried baby Corn and the awful pasta in red and white sauce. And .... The Dessert - We had some sweet dimsums - Something for which none of us had a palate to relish. So try the sweet dimsums at your own risk.

I do not recommend any one to have pasta at the Lobby until they assure that they have got in a professional chef for pasta.

Next time I go there i’ll check out some Indian food and write about my third visit then... Catch ya then.
