well these are the lines from the greatest geek movie ever made.
I personnally recommend the movie for its special effects, and a totally fantastic story line,
I have now seen it for nearly 20 times!!.
The story goes like this...
Imagine a near next century scenario, some one has given birth to Artificial Intelligent Machines which think(or do they?) humans as nothing but slaves (though a lot of them still are in this world, and infact in India too, I personnally hate slavery) and a means as them to survive, growing humans in a field and putting them in a coccoon as live thermal generator to generate heat and to feed the machines’ battery chargers.
In this coccoon they attach some wierd mind control cable, of which one end is fitted to your brain and the other end goes to a mainframe which has some software running which acts as a virtual reality world for the human to live in..., a scary (and may be true) thought indeed, and what you do is not exactly what you do, since you are not where you think you are... confused??, so were lot of people when they first saw matrix, and saw it a second time to understand it, no, not I, though I saw it 20+ times for its special effects(i have the vcd of matrix! ;-)).
There are agents in this virtual reality software program which come and go wherever they wish to, and these are the people who keep a tab on things. If a human dies in this artificial world, he dies in his coccoon too!(a body cannot live withou the mind!, can it?), so this dead human is recycled, liquified, to feed the farms of growing babies in artificial wombs! and the whole thing goes on and on...
Now here comes a hero(whose coming is predicted, wow! there are predictions here too!!), who is a computer geek, does some hacking, phracking or whatever, and gains some extra income for his living, he is NEO(near earth object??, I dont know!), he is approached by some missionaries who know the prediction that he is going to save the human world, they free him from the coccoon, and make way for his reincarnation so that he can save the humans.
whew, what a mind job!!
The movie next goes into slam bang action and mind bogling special effects which are a treat to watch, and I personnally feel it deserved the oscar it won for special fx.
