I recently finished reading this self-help book, and believe me when I say this, if any book can bring about a change in your lifestyle, it is The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari.
The story is not meant to grab your attention, it is only used as a medium to impart the massive amount of knowledge that the author has. It is very interesting how people perform extremely complex things just to attain simple things, such as happiness.
It is also important to know that this genre is called self-help for a reason. If you just read the book and do nothing about it, then there is no use in reading the book. While reading it, be open to changes in yourself, and try applying the concepts proposed in each chapter for at least 21 days. You will surely observe a positive change in your behavioral pattern.
The description of various activities is pretty simple for even a non-avid reader, and the experiences portrayed can be closely attained in real life.
I recommend everyone who wants to bring a positive change in their lives to read this book at least once and give it a try.
