I have been watching the trailers for a few weeks now and it has been hyped up to the fullest, so I went to go see it, expecting the most, I got far from the most.
I will admit, the special effects were something of it’s own, I haven’t seen effects like this for quite some time. In most movies the special effects can grow tiresome because they are the same thing time and time again, but these were awesome effects.
The acting in this movie was nothing special but the actors fit the roles quite good and made the movie complete. Brendan Frasier was the lead role in this one and he did the job superbly.
Dialogue was no problem in this movie, it was well written and had no harsh language, a real plus.
The plot to The Mummy Returns was similar to the first one but in turn, totally different. It had new characters and somewhat of a new theme. I liked the idea of the Scorpion King and that he controled Inubis’s army, it was a neat factor.
The ending of a movie is the most important part of it and makes the movie whole. I was a little bit disapointed with the ending of this one, it was so typical, the good guy wins and everything goes back to normal. It also seemed like the ran out of time near the end of the movie, they built everything up quite gradually and brought everything to an end at an abrupt halt.
All in all this was a good movie but if you ask me, I wouldn’t be in a hurry to go see it again, or to speek highly of it for that matter.
