Review : Before I give you my review on this movie I would like you all to know something. Mel Gibson had thought that people might view this movie like he was blaming the Jews. So he decided to make an appearance later on in this film. His hands were the hands that were pounding in the nails. You only see hands but those were his hands. He was trying to show us all that WE were the ones that did this. Not the Jews, but us. We are responsible for Jesus’ death. Wow.

Such torture that man went through for us. I was constantly thinking throughout this movie that it was surely not his fault, but he had to die for us. His blood is our saving grace. The first heart breaking thing I noticed in the film was at the very very beginning. We saw one of the deciples trading in Jesus, when he had done nothing wrong, for a bag of coins. Wow. Jesus was one of the wisest of men to walk the earth. He knew he was going to die. He chose his few words so carefully when he was talking to the man that was responsible for wether Jesus shall be set free or if he be crucified. Jesus knew that if he wanted he could talk his way out of this.

Once again I want to remind you that he went through this for us. Jesus hand’s were tied to a small pedestal where two men took ropes and took turns lashing him. Now after about 3 minutes of lashing and me bawling, they stopped. Then they went to get bigger sticks with spike balls on the end of them and continue the beating. Such guilt I know felt was unbelievable, as they carried him away.

They gave him the cross and his weak body stumbled down what seemed a neverending journey to the hill where he would be killed. While he was carrying the cross people continued to spit on him and throw rocks at him. He continued on with another man sharing the burden of the cross with him. He makes it to the top of the hill and the conversation he has with the man who was also being killed was amazing and unforgettable. You will have to see that for yourself though. Good things start happening near the end of the movie though, and finally, even though I was not able to smile, I felt a bit of joy in my heart as I realised the great things that Jesus did for us. Wow.

The five minutes after this movie I was speechless. After all that Jesus had done for me, I still haven’t done almost anything for him. It just really started making me wonder about things. That movie was definetly a life-changing experience for me. I hope that if you see it, it will have a positive impact on your life. :) I will take this qoute from a song that I know to close this off if you have a problem with God or anything.

That is completely O.K. but I just want to leave you with these following https://lyrics. ’’Stop complaining, move along. Open your eyes, see what’s going on. We need to get back to the ways of the days of old. One nation under God indivisible.

All the people in the world, let me hear you give a holler. In God we trust. In God we trust. We stamp it on our penny, nickel, dime, quarter. dollar. In God we trust. In God we trust.’’
