’The Patriot’ movie takes back the time when the united states of america was not found. The 13 British colonies which were once loyal to the crown started to revolt and declared themselves independent in 1776. Hollywood star Mel Gibson portrays as Benjamin Martin is the central figure of the story. Martin was a British veteran in French and Indian war and father of seven children. Martin’s eldest son Gabriel joined the the continental army but was severely injured at the battle of charleston. Later, Benjamin’s two sons including Gabriel was killed by a ruthless British general who also burned his house and destroyed his farm. Benjamin took the revenge by joining the continental army and fought war against the British army lead by Lord Cornwallis.
