Let me start by admiting that Samovar holds a special place in my heart - it was the first place I wnt to for a date! And that was nearly 19 years ago!
I have been going there once in a while since then and I cannot believe how beautifully they have maintained its soul - an unhurried place where one can eat superb, very affordable food, hear great music and just be.
My recommendation is to go there on a Saturday afternoon (when the lawyer’s don;t come there from the nearby court!), enjoy a chilled beer, have a nice Kheema or Aloo paratha, read a book and just relax!!!!
Great place to go with fiends, or a date, or just alone and read a book!
And DONT MISS IT IN THE MONSOON....it is wonderful to just sit and see the rain outside (on the Prince of Wales Museum lawns).......
