Making a biographical film is never an easy feat as one has to do justice to the person the movie is about. In this case, director Shonali Bose not only did justice to this movie based on the life of Aisha Chaudhary but has also created a movie that will inspire and move the viewer. Not surprisingly, this is not the first time Bose has mastered the art of connecting with her viewer on an emotional level, she did it with her previous film Margarita with a Straw as well.
The fil is based on the life of motivational speaker and author Aisha Chaudhary and her family, in the film, the story is narrated by Aisha Chaudhary ( Zaira Wasum ) who has already passed away.
Through Zaira's quirky narration and a non-linear timeline, we get to witness an incredible journey spanning 25 years of her father whom she fondly refers to as panda ( Farhan Akhtar ) and mother aka noose ( Priyanka Chopra ) . Their love story and the challenges they face as a family forms the crux of the story.
