Rude Marketing Personnel

The Statesman is a paper I have grown up with. Recently I sent a lady there with an ad for my office. There was indeed some error in the ad and thus naturally the lady who receives such ads refused to accept it. When I was connected to the phone to her, I requested her to accept the ad with modifications. Instead of being politely firm in her stance of refusal, she told me whether I have bought The Statesman for the price of one ad.

I dared to lodge a complaint of misbehavior against her over the phone. Thus today, 16th August, 2008, when I sent through the same lady a modified version of the advertisement, my letter and the bearer were both shown the door not only by the concerned marketing executive but also her higher ups. My fault? Must be I complained.

By the looks of it, The Statesman is panting for a lifeline and their people behave so rudely and threaten those who come to buy advertisement space. Talk of crows pretending to be peacocks. Wake up, Statesman wallahs, your day is gone. A sad day it is when fans are shown the door.
